New multi-window mode: adding a "Minimise" button

First of all, I would like to say that this is an unrealistically cool experience - the new multi-window mode feels very good and promising so far! Hats off to the whole team for all their hard work!

After talking to colleagues and using it, the first thing that came to mind was a “Minimise” button on such windows. I’m not quite sure how it would work, but do you think it would be useful? (I think it would be absolutely amazing if we could also have this functionality in the main editor window)

Additionally I would also like to suggest that certain windows automatically open as a new minimizable window, especially the Help Browser and the wizards.

Is this simply not possible?

With the current state I feel like I am resizing my patch window everytime I open the help browser, and it is very annoying… It would be great to have the help browser (or rather any window) as a normal, minimizable, resizable, focussable window when dragged out of the windowing system.

it would be halfway there if the window position and state were somehow saved.

headsup: there’ll still be improvements in this area for the coming stable release.
