Switching Video-Inputs with filestream 2 or VLC

Hello!

I want to switch fluently between different videos without stuttering. A user input should trigger the switching. But with filestream2 and switch, it doesn´t work. Does anybody have any examples? Interesting would be also a vlc-plugin sollution.
