After nearly pulling my hair out why gamma 7.1 is so sluggish recently I finally figured out that the solution explorer keeps running in the background if it is docked but collapsed.
Is this intentional?
Surely, having it collapsed it should stop running, even if it is pinned.
I was getting constant short freezes (1-2s of the UI) after almost every action and wondering why. Maybe there are some other improvements that can be made to the Solution Explorer, since it seems like it is re-evaluating after basically any action - moving a node, creating a link, adjusting an IOBox.
It’s probably not noticeable in small patches, but for us, it always takes a long time in our large patch.
