Get bounds of skia layer

In 22.5. there is a way to get the bounds of a Skia layer, which is handy when dealing with a multi line text. This does not work in 21.4., the nodes don’t exist… is there a workaround in latest stable? Or is it possible to also provide the nodes in there?
