I would also love something similar to Vivaldi’s windows sidebar, where you could imagine seeing all the open documents and their patches.
Thinking about this, this could be a dockable window already. I think it would be very easy to do and it would help a lot, because you could read all the names and instantly see everything that is open. It would be much better than the combination of these 2:
In this view you cannot tell which document each belongs to.
And then here you only see the documents.
Why not a window with both? SolutionExplorer and GlobalChannel browser are already quite similar in layout.
