Shortcut to straighten all links from origin

Besides loving working with vvvv I struggle a lot with keeping my patches clean and organised. Especially when the lines are not 90*.

I would love a shortcut that sets all links to pins in a 90° angle from the origin of the pin.

I suggest ctrl + X because it is easy and fast to reach with your left hand.

Ctrl +X is cut in most software that support cut and paste. So another shortcut is probably better.

Oh yeah thats true actually :/
Or even something like alt + c.

vvvv has lots of shortcuts already, maybe it would be cool if we could assign our own.
Although I do like the fact that I can show up at your installation and my muscle memory will not get me in trouble.

I think this is an opportunity for suggesting a shortcut editor and having the option of sharing the settings. Imagine that you can make your own set of shortcuts and make them available in the editor, this way I could just pick my own settings when I visit your install.
If it could even rank the custom settings somehow, so good setups get “upvoted” like on eg. reddit.
Not sure I would put it in the top of priorities for the Devvvvs though.

Have you tried enabling Snapping in the settings?

You mean this. What would be the settings to achieve it?

Yeah a shortcut editor would be great. I mean we all have different preferences and often this makes the process of working with a tool even more enjoyable.

But as you said it is also a good point that when somebody opens my patch hey can open the shortcut browser and quickly see which shortcuts are changed! Maybe highlighted the ones that aren’t the default.
I also like the idea with a file that you just drag and drop or and then you can “overwrite” the shortcuts / or you can even select in vvvv which shortcut file you want to use.

Link snapping is currently only available in previews.
