I almost never use the buttons to access functions such as “run” and “stop”. They’re too far away on the keyboard and I can’t remember them.
I’ve always done it with two mouse clicks. Open menu, stop. Open menu, run. And so on. I have done it so many times! But now, due to optimisation, my path has become longer and I’m ‘aiming’ for the right option.
On the one hand, this is the right decision. On the other hand, there is no alternative. It’s high time to create a panel with quick access to frequently used functions, something like a floating toolbar with ‘run’, ‘stop’ and ‘stop on error’. The latter has also suffered from this optimisation. To access ‘stop on error’, you now have to press QuadMenu, open Configuration, find this setting instead of a couple clicks in the ‘Burrger menu → Stop on error’ scenario. Thankfully, this menu can now be kept open and a small part of it can be held at all times to quickly toggle the function on and off. But it’s not quite right.
