I have been trying to get video streaming over a local network without much luck. I tryed bigFug’s freeframes but i could get nothing working, not even in a local machine.
I downloaded several different folers but there is only one that could give me the object apearing on the patch which is this one:fugFreeFrame-1.12.0 (different that the one on the instructions). All the other folders did not create any object on my patch (fugStream folders).
I created the fugStreamSend.cfg file as stated on the instructions and i could write and read without problem. but the streaming is not working yet. (BTW im on a spanish Window’s… there is an issue about that wich people comented here).
So i was wondering did anyone had vieo streaming wokring?
They are capturing video and sending it at 320 240. But i get no image on the same machine. I am trying on windows 7 and xp. non of them works.
Could you please tell me:
which windows are you using?
which version of the plugin are you using and where to get it?
and which version of vvvv ar you on?
That would be fantastic! coz im really stuk whithout knowing where to look at.
which version of the plugin are you using and where to get it?
i have tried with versions 1.12.0 onwards, and it works with shared memory streaming from vvvv to resolume avenue. you can get the latest versions at http://trac6.assembla.com/bigfug/browser/releases
and which version of vvvv ar you on?
40beta23
and yes, 127.0.0.1 should always work as a loopback address, but why are you not using shared memory streaming? that should be the fastest option on a single machine.
if you still do not get it to work, upload your patches and i can try if they work for me.
At the end i got it working, I kept on trying and at the end i had several stupid problems and misunderstanding of the instructions, so i can confirm it works on a single machine and on a local network 320x240 at 25fps… and is working no matter XP or vista or windows7. Should work in all of them.
I tried to add more resolution 640 480… it works but is going something like 5fps (on 2 machines)… so it is not a posibility for me.
