Request and its reason
Ctrl+Backspace can delete a word and succeeding whitespaces (if any). I am used to using this shortcut from other editors.

Here I am continuously hitting Ctrl+Backspace in Firefox’s search bar:

Only one is deleted upon invoking this shortcut:
