i just opened a patch i made yesterday and see this (on two different computers):

the patch was created with the same version but on arm64 and i see this behavior on x64. didn’t test the other way around though.
Can it be that your patch is saved as MyPatch/MyPatch.vl with a .git folder right beside it?
indeed, that was the reason!
Ok, we currently have a heuristic in place which auto-detects the “source package” case avoiding those situations where one needs to restart and set the package repos just to edit that one thing.
Could be that this is not always wanted - will need to discuss this a bit further internally.
i’d say this is fine as long as the yellow warning mentions that.
