Hello, I’m a newbie currently using Mac Parallels but am realizing that I will have to invest in a PC to use Fuse. Are there any specific minimums you would recommend regarding power/storage/memory that will help run Fuse smoothly? It’s not meant for professional use - more exploration/learning based. Thank you!
Nvidia GPU as fat as you can afford, likely 5080 is best pref/value.
Intel CPU, I’m waiting for 16th Gen, since I think there are no desktop CPU’s of 15-th gen and 14,13-th had numerous issue reports, so if u don’t want to ping pong with dealer likely 12-th gen is best value/drama right now… The rest is up to you.
Would not go with MSI (had to replace MSI video card after a week of usage)
For ssd’s m2 is best option but there are cheap M2’s that are slow on reading when overheat.
The ram is best to check the motherboard vendor list.
If you just want to explore and don’t need the maximum performance, then the Nvidia cards from the last two generations (30XX and 40XX) will also work just fine. The cool thing about doing stuff on the GPU is, that it is naturally really fast if it is properly optimised. If something runs at 150 or 80 fps really doesn’t make any difference and you already really have to push some things to only get 80fps. Most of the performance cost comes from stuff on the CPU and not optimising properly anyways.
So if you just want to get going any gaming PC from the last 5 years will do fine. As mentioned I would just make sure it has an Nvidia GPU.
Thank you so much for your insights!!!
