I think it might be a good idea to have the option of re-opening old threads when they become relevant again, case in point: Uploading .log files - website & documentation - Forum where I had to make a new thread.
Not sure if it is really a good idea, but I can imagine that some times it makes more sense to continue on some old thread.
nope, better to leave old threads closed and reference them exactly as you did there. topics are closed after a year of inactivity. this was as deliberate decision after we got age-old-supalong irrelevant topics pop up again. better to give those things a clean start and reference the old topic.
