Need Boygroup setting up help

Hi buddies! I need some help in my boygroup client and server setup. I read the manuals, click some links, read question, and I can’t understand how setup easily my boygroup control.

I want control play and stop videos with my server control the video in clients.

Yes, I connect the Pcs with a ethernet switch?

In case of 2 pcs, connect 1 ethernet cable beetween the pcs?

direct cable or switch does not matter. however you decide to connect your PCs. before setting up the boygroup in vvvv see if you can send a ping from one PC to the other and the other way round. just to make sure you have basic network connectivity set up right.
