Make IOBoxes same as mouse hover over output

I don’t think I understand why with custom data types it can show all the information if I hover over an output, but when I create a IOBox to see the output its different:

It doesn’t make any sense to me. If it CAN display all the information, why not show it in the IOBox?

At least it could be an option to “Show contents” in the middle click menu like we have for “Editor”:

And like asked for a long time ago, it would be great if we could decide how many items we want to preview like we have for inputs:

As per @joreg’s request, I am starting a new thread for IOBox improvements. I just remember me recently scaling up IOBoxes for custom types very often, as if they only show the content when there is enough space. Is that also the case for you?

In anycase, I think IOBoxes should be scrollable and just take up as much space as they need inside.
