ListEmails? How to retrieve emails?

ListEmails (Network POP3) - is that functional? Forum’s last mention of it is from 2012 and there was somethingsomethign SSL about it. Because, all I’m getting is ‘ERR : Authentication failed’. Sending (from GMX to GMail) works no problem.
