Kinect XBOX 360

Hi,

I have an old Kinect for Xbox 360 that I’d like to get running in vvvv. I’m on Windows 11, and so far I just can’t get it to work.

Even ChatGPT eventually told me to give up and buy a newer Kinect, since there’s little point trying to make 2013 hardware work in 2026. I can see the argument, but before the whole thing goes in the bin: am I the only one having these issues?

Has anyone successfully got an Xbox 360 Kinect running with vvvv on Windows 11? Or have I simply been misguided by AI and there is a perfectly good way of doing it?

Any ideas would be appreciated…

Hey!

I remember these being very picky about the USB Controller they’re plugged to, could that be the issue? Maybe this helps?

Or this Reddit thread : I figured out a Easy fix for the Kinect v1 on Win11 ?

Don’t have this at home, so cannot try!

Thanks a lot for the feedback! I wouldn’t have thought that switching off “Audio Enhancements” would fix the USB connection issues. I haven’t had a chance to look into it yet, but thanks for the tip anyway! I’ll keep you posted.
