Create my DataType for VL.TrackObject

Hello Guys, I want to create a custom datatype for the trackobject nuget, And it is says in the help patch that is possible: In plus of the position, I want to add a rotation and a specific ID (aruco marker) to the object that want to track… The ghosting is the feature that I am the most interested with that nuget

"If you want to track objects other than Vector2 or Vector3 you have to provide an implementation of the adaptive Distance node for your datatype.

If your datatype is mutable, you’ll also need to provide an implementation for the adaptive Clone node for your datatype."

But I have no clue how to do that… I am not familliar with those concept … Any clue how to started this ?

Thanks you

hey raphael,

here is the general documentation on Adaptive Nodes. You’re particularly interested in the subtopic “Adaptive Implementations”.

Please give this a read and let us know if you’re missing any information.

For info: the Distance operations signature is: Input<T> , Input 2<T>, Output <Float32>, for the Clone it would be Input<T>, Output<T>, but if you’re only adding primitive values (rotation, ID) you’ll not need that.
