CPU spikes from VVVV

Hey all.
Sorry for the boring question… but Im in a pinch here
I get a lot cpu spikes when running vvvv alongside Ableton live.
This is a newly installed computer, the same config worked perfectly well before on the same machine///
Live is running at 30%-50% and vvvv can even run 120 fps but I keep getting CPU spikes (audible in the sound from live)
I disabled cpu throttling (only from control panel, my bios has little to nothing to configure in), tried reducing the mainloop to 30… still there…What else can be done? is it a vvvv version problem (Im with 35.8) a windows thing?
