Collecting string from Arduino

Hi,
I’m struggling with passing a string from Arduino to VVVV.
In the past, I have no problems with RS232 (lagacy) patch, but now, when I enable the patch, it turns pink.
Is there an add-on or something I need?

I have an Arduino Uno R4 connected to com4. and transmitting at 9600 baud.

Regardless, it’s just not talking with VVVV and I can’t figure out why. I’m not running Arduino serial or even the program at the same time so, the com4 should be only talking with VVVV.

It’s been a while since I’ve been working in VVVV so, surely my knowledge is way out of date.

Any advice would be appreciated. It’s driving me crazy.

Hey,

Not an Arduino expert myself but do you see an error message if you create a Renderer (TTY)? Just seeing a red node does not help much understanding what’s wrong.

Do you have the arduino IDE open at the same time with the arduino connected to the same com port?
As far as I recall, you can one have one application using a com port.
