Best heart beat monitor to integrate with vvvv

I am wanting to create a fairly simple vvvv animation, activated by a person’s heartbeat. I was wondering which heartbeat monitor out there is the easiest to connect to vvvv?

Any help on this would be great,

Hey, so the 2nd one is a tad out of my price range, but if I get the polar heartrate monitor and the heart rate interface from sparkfun, is the connection then monitor-arduino-vvvv?

Sorry im a newb, have you made this connection before?

i don’t but… with the RS232 (Devices) node
you can read data from the arduino or other? boards
