Ayh..reading pixel data

its just the usual freaking out - when you learn a new software.
all i want to try is to pick color data from a static picture (later video) - and i want to know which is the pixel im checking.

can someone help please?
i start to feel totally stupid :)

Pipet (EX9 Texture) or easier the module Pipet (EX9 Texture Simple) does what you are looking for.
Have a look at the helpfiles (F1 when node/module) is selected.
