Arbitrary point for meshes

is there a way of making an arbitrary point transform for meshes?
the arbitrary point transformation i made only applies to dx9 objects. an ex9 effect doesnt even accept the node connection, only if i route it through another transform node…

i want to deform a mesh along a sphere surface …
