Ab-so-lute beginners question

Installed Gamma today. Started with the first tutorial. Which says: type renderer and you’ll see the renderer as a node. Well, in my case, after double clicking and getting the node window there is NO renderer node appearing in the node window.

So my very first action after installing fails…[[sad trombone]]

I only installed the exe, no additional packs (need to figure WHAT to download)
I’m on Win10, btw
